The San Diego office had a special visit in the month of April! Our Director of UK Operations, Raffa Cinti, joined us for a week in the States.
And what an event-filled week it was!!
After getting off the plane at 7pm, Raffa had a few hours to sleep, then it was off to Huntington Beach, Calif., to participate with 11 other Ludus staff members in a 200-mile relay race (Ragnar Relay SoCal).
Yes, you heard that correctly. A 200-MILE relay race…less than 12 hours after getting off of an international flight! To put it simply, Raffa is a rock star!
The Ludus Tours team began the Ragnar Relay at 10am. Our 12-person team was split into 2 vans, with each runner running three legs of the race (the total mileage per runner ranged from 14 miles to 23 miles). We ran through the night, up and down some pretty serious hills, along the beach and finally reached the finish line at Silver Strand State Beach (here in San Diego County) around 4:30pm the following day.
And just so you know…Raffa didn’t call it quits after crossing the finish line. She still made it to a housewarming party for another Ludus staff member that same night!
So, to all of our Ludus guests eagerly looking forward to London…you are in very, very good hands with the inexhaustible Raffa Cinti!
